I am a big water drinker. We have a Brita water system and I love it. I used to add lemon or cucumber to the water. Super refreshing! Never did I think to combine them together until I read Nicole Davis' blog Me Oh My. She combined the lemons and the cucumbers! You better believe that I went straight home last night and tried it. Delish! Now, just to get a cute container like Nicole's! You really should check out her blog. Her daughter is adorable and Nicole has great taste.
Since we are talking about water, I'd like to share a wonderful charity that provides water to needy countries. The name of the charity is charity: water. Basically, charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. 100% of public donations directly fund water projects. From their site: Almost a billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean drinking water. Unsafe water and a lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of all disease and kill more people than all forms of violence, including war. We're working to change that.
It is so easy to take for granted that most of us have access clean water. I know I did. Until I started following this charity. I first found out about them thru Twitter - oh, the power of the Internet. Can you believe that $1 of our dollars equals $12 in economic returns?
