French Basketeer

We traveled to Europe a few years ago for a little more than a week. We stayed in London with some dear friends. They ended up leaving after a day or so, but were kind enough to let us enjoy their home AND their nanny/housekeeper. No, we weren't horrible guests, they were actually moving back to the states and need to find a home. Anyway, I never planned on loving London so much! We were able to take a day trip to Paris on the Euro rail. Paris was beeyoutiful. It was quite the experience given the fact that neither of us speak a lick of French. Ken took German and I took Spanish in school. We did have on of those trusty ENG->FRENCH translation books. Of course, I had to have a baguette and a crepe. So, off to a restaurant we go! No one spoke English.  So, we did the next best thing and pointed at what we wanted. Can I tell you the food was wonderful? As we are sitting eating our baguettes, what do I spot but the Louis Vuitton store? You have to get a Louis while in Paris - right? actually, it probably is the best place to get one because of the VAT (Value added Tax).

What a wonderful experience - if you are planning on buying a bag, they take you to a room where you can touch and feel tour bag. You have a personal shopper who gets them from a vault.
It's funny, but they all spoke English - LOL.
You are probably wondering where this post is going. I'm getting there. On just about every street corner there were fresh florals and markets where you could purchase goodies.  I noticed these cute totes that most of the women were using. Baguette out one end, fresh flowers on the other and of course, a bottle of Aqua Panna. What took me back to our European trip was a blog I just started following, Art by Karena. She is having a wonderful contest for reaching 1000 followers. It includes a French Basketeer tote and straw hat. They are fabulous!
I can just imagine using one as we shop at one of Indy's Farmers markets or shopping at one of the ports on our next cruise. The selection on the totes is HUGE. Super colorful. You get to choose which one you would like to win. I chose the Eze - natural and the tan hat.
Head on over and check them out. They are at a great price and look like they will last forever (or at least a very long time).
Enjoy your Saturday!
