Our next girls dinner is a fondue dinner. I've done fondue for my husband and myself at home. I've been to The Melting Pot. But I have never done a group home fondue party. There are a total of 7 of us attending. We'll dip chicken, beef, french bread, fruits, veggies, marshmallows, pound cake in cheese, coq au vin and chocolate. I have two fondue pots and will be using a small crock pot for the chocolate (unless I can get my hands on another fondue pot).
Coq vin Fondue from The Melting Pot
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cups vegetable stock
- 1/2 cup Burgundy wine
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
Directions:
Prep Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 15 mins
- 1 Heat vegetable stock in fondue pot until it begins to simmer.
- 2 Add all other ingredients, bring to simmer.
- 3 Place individual pieces of desired meat or veggies on fondue fork and put in pot until correct temperature has been reached. Lobster and shrimp may take under a minute to cook while beef and pork will take slightly longer. Take the necessary precautions so you don't eat raw meat.
As usual, I'll post about our dinner once it happens and will have pictures as well. Do you fondue?
