Friday Fave - Julep

Most of you know by now that I love nail polish. LOVE nail polish....................... and I love getting goodies in the mail.  I've been reading and following Julep nail polish for a few months now.  Founder, Jane Park, tells how and why she started her company on her blog.  You can read the complete story here, but here is a snippet about the company that says it all:
   I started Julep in 2007 as a tribute to my girlfriends.  Because the women in my life are inspiring, funny, supportive, insightful, and beautiful.  And it occurred to me that we deserve a parlor of our own.  Somewhere we can connect and relax over the best manis and pedis with the latest colors and magazines, and without worrying about germs or toxic fumes.

 The company mission is to "ignite the spirit of engagement in women everywhere". They also pay it forward by donating $1 from every purchase to organizations that empower women. Gotta love that! Every month, the do a vote on their Facebook page to decide where that months collections should go. 

 The nail polish colors are to die for. Trust me, there is something for everyone. Another thing I really like about the  website and blog are the video tutorials.  There are a ton of them - "How to Keep Your Manicure Looking Great", "How to Apply Nail Polish", "Basecoat Tutorial" to name a few. Jane comes across as an old friend in the videos.  How fun would she be to hang out with?

 Currently, all of their nail parlors are located in Washington. However, you can purchase the nail polishes  and other products on line here. The nail polishes are $14 and the Cuticle oil is $18.
