Life...

This past week on Facebook I read a post from Joyce Meyer of Joyce Meyer Ministries. The post read:

Thinking a lot about the problems we encounter in life only makes them appear to be larger than they really are.

Isn't this the truth!  As always, God sends the messages I need just at the right time. I have been worrying about a situation this week and even though I prayed about it,  I still struggled with coming face to face with the issue. I kept putting it off and putting it off - which only makes it worse. Truth is, the saying above is so true. In the scheme of things, this situation was  extremely small. People face much more difficult situations every day. I've certainly lived long enough to know that. God  challenges us so that we take note of what is really important.

My niece spent the night one day last week. As we were chatting, she shared a little story in which her little feelings were hurt. At first, I thought " Wow, to have the problems of a four year old." Then, I remembered this was just as stressful to her as my situation was to me. We talked it out and then went on to play Barbie's as if nothing else matters.
