I have noticed over the last few months that my eyeliner tends to work double duty - even though I don't like it.
I apply my eyeliner to the top and bottom of my eyelids in the morning. It never fails that by mid morning, it has smudged on the bottom of my eye. It appears that I have dark under eyes! Not a great look. I constantly have to wipe under my eyes to make sure the rings aren't there. It seems that this is typical of kohl eyeliners. They are most often use to smudge when you want a smoky eye.
I finally decided to try to find a solution to the problem. There are actually a few things I could do - one being not wearing it at all (hubby would love that). You can also opt for waterproof eyeliner. I chose this:
- Items needed: 1.) Slightly lighter pressed powder. You can also use one that matches your skin tone. The lighter powder makes the lower eye area appear brighter. Just be careful for creasing. 2.) Flat head eye shadow brush.
- Lightly dip your brush in the pressed powder on both sides.
- Place the brush vertically directly below the liner - stamp it in from one side of the eye to the other. This will set your eyeliner.
- Apply your eye liner.
- Sweep back over the area (no additional powder needed) to blend the powder in.
I hope this helps some one else. Do you have a trick you use? I'd love to hear!
