Hot Tub, Suana and Steam room area - Aria Spa |
So, here is one of my favorite things about the Aria and this Vegas trip - the SPA! We did our spa day their for my pre-birthday in April. This by far is my favorite spa - EVA.
I woke up early (as always) on the day of my Hot Stone treatment. I decided to spend some time at the spa before my treatment. I actually spent a full 3 and a half hours there. It was pure heaven. I pretty much had the spa to myself.
I sat outside in the infinity pool area, had coffee and enjoyed the morning.
The room above has to be one of my favorites in the spa. It features Ganbanyoku heated stone beds. This picture doesn't really do it justice, but I had to be quick. You lay on these beds of warm granite and instantly you are relaxed. The guy two stone beds down from me was so relaxed, he was snoring. Not a peaceful snore but a full on "I am at home" snore. It was okay though - he finally left and I was able to sleep myself. I hope I wasn't snoring - LOL.
Finally time for my spa treatment. I was and usually am very tense in my shoulder area. My masseuse concentrated on those areas with her hands and the stones. Pure bliss! The treatment lasted for 50 minutes. I don't like to carry on conversation when I am having a massage and she respected that. Love her!
Met hubby for pool time after the spa....
The area has 5 pools - all of which are beautiful. Liquid is their Adult Only Pool/Bar. We opted for 2 of the other pools which had the least amount of kids.
My beach goodies.......The shoes under the chair are my husbands (my feet aren't wuite that big - LOL).....
It was incredibly hot this day and so we didn't stay very long. The next day, we stayed much longer.
After the pool, we spent time with a friend of ours who now lives in the Vegas area. He treated us to lunch at Cafe Vettro. Great food....
We then took a tour of the Cosmopolitan which was next door to our hotel. I feel in love with all of the chandeliers in The Chandelier Bar.
The giant stiletto in the picture above was also in the Cosmopolitan. It was a huge photo op for a lot of folks - including me.
We got passes to go to the pool/club in the Cosmopolitan. Definitely not our vibe, but it was nice.
Stay tuned for Part 3............
