Goodbye, Mr. Dell

My poor little Dell died. I've had my Dell laptop for at least 5 years. I also have a MacAir that I've had for two years now. I never really got into the Mac because it was just so much easier (too lazy to learn the Mac way) to use my Dell for blogging.

My husband purchased my Dell when my last laptop died. I was so excited when he called me on his way home form work and said he had purchased me a new laptop - the same day my old one passed away.  Excited until I saw the color. Green? Did he really just buy me a green laptop? A lime green laptop. It seems the guy at Best Buy offered him a deal on a floor model that he just couldn't pass up. The picture above is the color of the outside of my Dell.  Bright - huh?

Outside of the color, I have loved this little guy for years. Even if the last two years have been a struggle. Sometimes he would work just fine. Other times? Not so much. I finally figured out just what to do to get it to work. God forbid someone should mess up the system I had. Then, it would take hours to get it back up and working.

A few years ago, I purchased my very first Mac. It was cute, but not love at first use. I mean it is very cool. I just don't like not having a mouse to maneuver around with. This one uses the touch pad. A feature the sales person was all to happy to share with us for roughly 7 minutes. So, we brought this guy home and I seriously rarely used it. I kept finding my way back into my office and my Dell. Old, green and faithful!

Well, last Saturday something happened and he published his last bolt post. I finally had to admit that he was gone this morning. When I tried one last time.

Right now, he is serving as a platform for my Mac as I blog away. I guess I'll have to learn the ins and outs of this new guy.

Good bye dear, Dell. It was a great ride!
