Julep Maven Box

It's been a long time since I've posted about my Julep subscription. Mainly, because I just didn't need any more nail polish. I was a little lazy in canceling my subscription. I don't like that you have to call in to cancel the subscription. Anyhoo, I am kind of glad I waited to cancel. It appears the folks at Julep realized people may not always want nail polish.

Enter the new Maven. I was an American Beauty profile ( you take a beauty profile quiz when first signing up.). I received an email a few weeks ago saying my profile had changed. Now, I am a Modern Beauty. What that means is that now I can opt for  beauty products using MB or I can keep getting nail polishes under AB. Ok - I'll give it a shot.

I received my first package in the mail today. I received Rock Star hand cream and a Glycolic hand cream. I also received a yummy strawberry mint lip balm. It tastes delicious!

So, next I tried the hand scrub. I didn't think it was going to work at first because it wasn't very grainy. Well, I soon changed my mind.  As I started massaging the scrub in, it rally started feeling like it was doing something. When I washed it off, it left a wonderful sheen to my hands. Sort of like a protective barrier. I liked it. I actually think the Mary Kay scrub is better, but this one ranked a close second.

I was a little worried about the scent on the Rock Star hand cream.  I have asthma and can't wear a lot of scents. I decide to tough it out for the sake of this review. I was pleasantly surprised that the fragrance was very mild. I can't quite identify what it is. Some sort of floral scent - not overbearing.

Overall, I was pleased with this box. I am not sure if I will continue with my subscription yet. The good thing is that I can skip a month if I chose to do so. Maybe I'll see what next month brings and then decide.

Are you a Maven? If so, what are your thoughts on the program?
