Le gout de l'excellence!

My newest addition to my kitchen is the Staub 10" Indoor Grill Pan from Williams-Sonoma. I've been looking for an indoor grill pan for a while now and finally decided on this one in a red/orange color. Can I tell you, this pan is HEAVY!

Staub began in the Alsace region of France  - which is known for hearty one-pot recipes and fine enameled ceramics. Francis Staub, the grandson of a cookware merchant, designed his first enamelled pot in 1974.

The grill pan will actually leave grill marks on the food you cook in the pan. This is major for me as I love a great food presentation.

Basic preparation for the pan is to add a bit of olive oil to the pan. You can do this prior to each use if you choose. It is also extremely important that you begin on a low stove setting and increase to a higher heat. This will prevent cracking. Especially important if you have a glass cooktop. You don't want your pan and your cooktop cracked.

Tonight, I am preparing veggies in it for our dinner. Very soon, I'll cook salmon and other goodies.

Do you have an indoor grill pan? If so, which one and what do you love about it?

Bon appetit!
