Happy 13th Anniversary

It is hard to believe we have been married for 13 years TODAY!

We met on a blind date set up for us by a mutual friend. Our first date was to the Jazz Kitchen where we saw a group called the Yellowjackets. We seriously had a great time. We started dating seriously in April - got engaged in December - married in March of the following year.  Fast - huh?

My hubs is my very BEST FRIEND. We have been thru some fun and nit so fun times. Our faith and love have kept us strong. We love our little family of four (yep, I'm including our two little pups).

We enjoyed a fun filled night last night with a group of friends and a limo ride. More on that later.

Happy Anniversary, babe!
I love you!!!!!

UPDATE:

Harry and Izzy's Lobby

We had the most amazing time last night. We decided to actually celebrate our anniversary Saturday night. I planned this year and was a surprise to Ken. Until yesterday that is....that is another looong story.

So, I had a limo pick us up at our home. We brought along extra water and wine for our group of friends that joined us. We actually met them all at Harry & Izzy's in downtown Indy. I pre-arranged for us to have dinner boxes made for the limo ride. Ken loves the filet sliders there. So, the box contained two filet sliders and a medium sized romaine hearts salad. We also had St. Elmo's FAMOUS shrimp cocktail. If you have never had this - you should. It is crazy good AND crazy hot! The horseradish is killer. I mean, if you have blocked sinus passages - this is gonna cure it!  Dessert was their famous brownie - soooo good.

Everyone mingled a bit in the lobby of H&I. Then we hopped in the limo for a ride to Indiana Grand casino! None of us are huge gamblers. We decided to stay for an hour. Each couple kind of went off to see what we could win. Ken and I tried to play the Wheel of Fortune. That wasn't happening. Those machines go fast and people don't leave them. I was planning to only play the penny machine - just for a little fun. Low and behold, we found another of my faces - Sex and the City. It was awesome. I put my $20 dollars in and walked away with $170! Yep, I walked away - I know when to hold 'em. That money will buy some pretty cool clothing items - lol.

The place was very smoky and we all decided an hour was enough. So, back in the limo for our ride back home. The brownies hit the spot for the ride back.

We had an awesome time with some AWESOME people. We couldn't ask for better friends. I only wish I had taken more photos!

  1. Congrats on 13 years. You planned an amazing night to celebrate. Sometimes it's so hard to be in the moment AND take pictures. Guess you were to busy having fun!
