I am not your avid book reader. In fact, I go thru spurts of reading. Guess what? A spurt has begun.
I love getting book recommendations from our local paper, The Indy Star and from People magazine. One of my favorite places to get recommendations is from friends.
A few weeks ago, there was a recommendation in People magazine for a book by Gillian Flynn - Gone Girl. I am a huge mystery book fan. So, of course this peaked my intererst. The reviewer, Helen Rogan, gave it 4 stars! Better yet, the reader reviews on Barnes & Noble were promising.
A few clicks later and I am now the proud owner of Gone Girl - loaded on my nookcolor. My husband and I did a lot of yard work yesterday and I didn't start reading it until bedtime. So far- so good. It really looks like it will be a good read.

I finished the book and in record time I might add. Well, record time for me. This book was definitely one I could barely put down. The only things that stopped me from reading non-stop were sleep and work - LOL. This book had so many twists and turns. I can typically figure a book out after a while - not this one. The book is written from the point of view of the husband and the wife - in seperate entries. The ending left me with a very strange feeling. A feeling that reminded me of a mini series a few years ago. I can not remember the name of the mini series, but it was based on a book. I think it was basedon twin girls and their lives. Twisted..........
