Napolese, an Artisinal Pizzeria by Patachou

I've been on this Italian food binge for the last month or so. A few weeks ago, we had the Italian themed Girls Dinner at our home and it has been non stop since then. I don't typically eat a lot of pasta dishes, but for some reason that hasn't been the case lately.
Patachou has always been one of my favorite local places to eat for breakfast and lunch. Doesn't matter which one - Cafe Patachou, Patachou on Park or Petit Chou in Clay Terrace or Broad Ripple. I am a bit partial to the Petit Chou Caly Terraces decor - LOVE the chandeliers! Martha Hoover is the brilliant creater of the restaurant group.
Anyway, when I found out they were adding a pizzeria,  Napolese, an Artisinal Pizzeria by Patachou, to the bunch I had to try it. My husband and I kept saying we would try it and just never got around to it. Until this past week. My brother in law was in town and we decided why not give it a try. We decided to do carryout.

Inside the restaurant
Napolese is located at 114 East 49th Street in Indianapolis, Indiana - just east of the intersection of 49th and Pennsylvania.

Making Pizza
When we walked into the pizzeria to pick up our order, I remembered why I love Patachou restaurants so much (besides the food, of course). The decor is simply stunning! The pizza oven and pizza chef  are in open view. You may even sit at the bar to watch your pizza being made. As we looked around, I noticed many a happy face. I also noticed the small bowls of assorted  marinated olives on the tables. I believe those are complimentary when you dine in. In any event, I heard they were amazing.

Salmon, Dill Creme Fraiche, Capers, Roasted leeks
We ordered two pizzas which was plenty for the three of us. One of the pizzas was The Smoked Salmon pizza comes with a base of extra virgin oil and garlic, dilled Crème Fraiche, ultra premium smoked salmon, capers and roasted leeks.

Buffalo Marghareta Pizza
The other was Buffalo Margherita – roasted grape tomatoes, Buffalo Mozzarella and basil. Both were delicious. Although, because we don't eat alot of salt, the Salmon was a bit salty with the smoked salmon and capers. I am a huge fan of the crust. Love a great thin crust.

Trust me when I say this isn't your ordinary, run of the mill, delivered to your door pizza. If your favorite is typically just a plain ole pepperoni slice (I love a good slice as much as the next girl), this is a bit different. Still, you should try it!
