Brownies.....................and Girl Scout cookies

As you all know, it's that time of year - Girl Scout Cookie time. Actually, it has been going on for a while. The very first GS cookie delivery I saw this year was while I was in Milwaukee. One of my co-workers has a daughter who sells GS cookies. She saw some in the office where we were and noticed the names of some of the cookies were different than the ones we have at home. Strange - huh?

I ordered some (5 boxes) for my husband and my mama. Can you believe I did not touch a one? Actually, I haven't had a GS cookie in years, but I still get caught up in the hype of buying them.

I remember being a little Brownie (a starter GS) back when we lived on Grissom Air Force Base. It was fun for the most part. Except when we went '"camping". Camping consisted of going to a park and looking for bugs. We had s'mores and Hi-C. Well, we had s'mores because the Brownie troop leader forgot the can opener. That did it - I was scarred for life.
I have never wanted to go camping - all because of this - lol.

Well, I graduated from my Brownie troop and we moved after my daddy retired from the Air Force. Never really thought about joining again...........
