Kate Spade Grand Opening - Indy style

I am sure you all know about my love for Kate Spade. You've also read about my excitement that the brand was finally going to have an Indy presence.

Well, they made it here on May 24th. I didn't venture up that way until the grand opening/blogger event     on May 30th.

Blogger Jessica Quirk of What I Wore (pictured above) was the featured guest. She is super tall and I loved the dress she selected to wear for the event.

After grabbing a delicious (as always) small frozen yogurt from Pinkberry, my aunt and I headed to the grand opening event. This of course after she made a wonderful purchase from lulu lemon.

Kate Spade is most easily reached by entering at the Cheesecake - Crate and Barrel entrance.  It's just across from the Coach store. Michael Kors is coming June 13 and will be in the same wing.

The store is brightly lit with tons of color. It really speaks to the company motto of "Live Colorfully".
There is a lot of color. All of the employees were decked out in Kate Spade gear and looked fabulous.

They offered cute mini cupcakes, mini bottles of coke and Pelligrino as opening treats. The store was full in a matter of minutes after we arrived. I mean full!

The entrance to the store showcases the jewelry items as well as a few purses. The back section has the shoes, clothing and again more of their fabulous purses.

There was a crowd around the cash register area. I wondered if everyone just knew what they wanted and was ready to purchase. Nope that wasn't it. There was a raffle for a brand new Kate Spade bag. It was gorgeous. Just my style - black, cream and British tan. The ladies and a few gents were signing up to win. Yep, we jumped in that line with a quickness.

One of the employees had a wonderful stack of bracelets. So, I decided that is what I would look at. I don't need another bag!  I love that the bracelets are fun and whimsical. They look great stacked with my Michael Kors Runway watch.

The discount they offered was wonderful. The purchasing line at the register was HUGE. Granted they only had two registers, but I don't think during the course of a normal day they would need many more than that. It will certainly get busy during the holiday season, but I still think two is doable.

I had a great time and hope the new store does well..............

Now if we can just get a Tory Burch store here.................
