I'm not gonna lie, I start the process EARLY. My husband and i usually start planning our trips pretty far out. We both love it that way. It gives us time to really delve into a location and find out as much as we can.

I am a huge fan of the travel countdown apps for your phone.   There are a ton of free ones if you don't want to purchase one.   I usually go for the free ones because the  ads don't bother me. I just need to know how long before I go!

I am a huge fan of the travel wallet. They hold your boarding passes (if you still like to print your tickets) , passport, cash, credit cards, etc.  .  You can find them in all prices - from Louis Vuitton to Kate Spade and many even less expensive than that.  If you travel a lot, I would say it is worth the investment to get a nice one that will last.  I even use mine as a clutch in the evening as most will even fit a lipstick and small mirror.

On to the luggage tags - you can find some super cute ones at T J Maxx.  I just found some there for $2.99 - yes $2.99. They are bigger than most and the hot pink is sure to catch your attention.  Check out my Instagram page for a picture of those.  If you have a business card, I would use that instead of putting your home address on the tag. Safety, ya know?

Interiors - Books

I once had a book club and had a ton of books. Many books were gifted from new writers wanting our group to read their creations. That was a few years ago. When we moved, I donated the majority to a local charity. Since we have been in the new home, I have decided (after seeing so many great photos) that at least one section (outside of the coffee table) should be decorated with stacked books.
(Oops, I forgot I have my fashion books as decor in my closet.) I am slowly but surely building my design book collection. I'll use many of those once I have read them.  I found great inspiration in many of the photos shown here from Pinterest:

Beverage or Bar Carts

My latest obsession is the beverage cart. I don't actually have a beverage cart (yet). For now, I am using the buffet that we purchased along with our dining room tables (we have two which we connected to accommodate our family dinners) in our banquet kitchen area. I just started playing around with the area and feel like I need a bit more height or probably just some really cool wall art.

What do you think of beverage or bar carts? Do you have one?

I promise to post photos of the before and after soon. In the meantime, here are some of my faves:

House of Fifty

I recently found House of Fifty an e-magazine while researching interiors. The magazine cover definitely caught my eye. Honestly, the inside is full of great decorating tips sure to help both the novice decorator and the seasoned pro. Janell Beals, founding editor, decided to create House of Fifty as she was going to be turning fifty (the new fifty looks great - by the way!). She didn't want to think her best years were behind her and wanted to create her own opportunities. I think the magazine is pure genius!

Not only does it offer helpful decorating tips, they have articles from contributors about entertaining, fashion and much more.Though we don't have kids, one of my favorite articles is "Decorating with Children's Art".  They have included how to do so and shown pictures. Trust me, this isn't the same old display on the fridge. They have been framed and....well, you'll just have to check it out yourself here.

Another favorite article is about creating an eclectic room. I remember hearing Nate Berkus say that you should decorate by using things you love - not that they necessarily make sense together. When you do that, your room will be stylish. This article shows you how to mix those items together for a pulled together look.

Be sure to check out the first two editions here. The next issue is scheduled for October. Can't wait until October for more? Then, sign up for their blog!
Enjoy your day..........

I am thinking of changing my home office to all white - with my hot pink, black and silver. Currently, my furniture is all black and I like it. I just think the white will look really nice. What are your thoughts - should I change or should I keep the current color?

Interiors

How perfect are these two interiors? I absolutely love them both. Unfortunately, I can not remember where I found this pictures. I think I saved them while sleep browsing Pinterest. If they are yours, please let me know and I will give proper credit.
