IPad Love

IPad Love by eegrego160 featuring a comic book

If you have an iPad, what type of case do you use?  I have lately been using one like the red one above. My iPad slides in , but that is all the protection it has. I'm not too crazy about this option. I prefer the ones  That hold your iPad like a book.

Which one is your favorite?

White Style

White Style

White Style by eegrego160 featuring leather handbags

I am a huge fan of the color white. I LOVE wearing white linen pants in the summer. They are just about the best thing since .............. I must say I am a bit scared to carry a white bag. I would be a nervous wreck worrying that it would get an ink stain on it! But this TB bag is cute!

DO you wear a lot of white?

Stylin' Saturday - Black and White

Black and White

Alice + Olivia black white striped dress / River Island , $185 / R k original / Equipment silk blouse / Jimmy Choo / Lulu Guinness handbag / Blade Rubber Stamps Blade Rubber Stamps Blade Rubber - Corners Scroll..., $4.85

Before you know it, May will be here. Not only is this the month of my hubby's birthday, Memorial Day and warm weather. It is also one of the biggest months here in Indy because it is Indy 500 Race month.

Believe it or not, I have never, ever attended the race. I have attended the parade on many occasions and have had a blast.

So, black and white are the traditional colors for Indy Race month. Isn't it great that these colors are also one of the fashion statements to make this spring/summer?

I have A LOT of black and white in my closet. I plan to add a POP of color to my combinations. This in keeping to my pledge not to dress so drabbily (white, tan, black) all the time.

Happy Saturday!

Gold Rush

I hadn't worn gold in ages. I love it, I just realized a few years back that white gold, silver and platinum look much better on me. Because I have a lot of yellow in my skin, it just didn't look right to me. Fast Forward to 2011 - I am loving the look of gold on me. There are sooooo many different shades of gold now that I can find one that suits my skin coloring. I have also taken up mixing metals which I absolute love doing.  Sometimes I mix on the same arm, but more often I do golds on ones arm and silvers on the other.

Hallelu

Photo from The Glitter Guide
Photographer Credit: Melissa Herbert

I did a recent post about animal prints. Basically, it was a photo montage of animal print photos I found doing research via Pinterest.  Little did I know what one of the photos would uncover.

Hallelu About Us
Photo from Hallelu website

I decided that I had to find out where the cheetah print sweater came from and followed the link to The Glitter Guide - one of my favorite blogs. Not sure how I missed the post about Catherine Yearwood. So, this morning, I was delighted to follow the link to Hallelu and find out more about the shop. The pictures are great, the items in the shop are gorgeous. The shop is located in Wrightsville Beach which is very near my family in Wilmington, North Carolina!

I then clicked on the vimeo which is posted in their "About" section. What a delightful couple! Catherine and her husband, Dave, share their faith and how the stepped out on faith to start Hallelu.

Catherine comes from a long line of entrepreneurs and was inspired to open Hallelu after an afternoon porch conversation with her 90 year old grandfather. Hallelu - born from the root word, Hallelujah - means praise. The highest praise! How awesome is that. I love the name of their shop......

I can't do their story justice here. You must go and read and view it for yourselves. Really - like right now - here.

My husband and I are planning to visit Wilmington next year. Guess where I'll be going? Yep - straight to Hallelu!

Stylin' Saturday....

I'm loving on Tory Burch fashion right now. I love the clean, sophisticated, fun, classic lines of Tory Burch fashions. My current go to bag is a Tory Burch bag. I am not kidding you when I tell you that this thing is like BUTTA. It is super soft. I've had it for a bit now and I still love it!  Head over to her website now, but plan to spend some time there. The blog is full of wonderful finds and information. My fave? Her City Guides. There are roughly 30 city guides spanning the world.

BEST EVER? You can register daily thru August 10, 2011 for a great Getaway Giveaway here.

Stylin' Saturday

Last Saturday morning - correction early last Saturday morning, I couldn't sleep. So, I decided to get up and go into my office and do some work. That work consisted of catching up on my blog reading. Being that it was so early, I don't really remember which blog I was reading when I came across Cheetah is the New

Photo credit: Cheetah is the New Black
Black blog. The blog is written by Alicia who happens to live in one of my favorite cities, San Francisco. She loves cheetah print - hence the blog name - and fashion,  vintage, great food and great photos.  She's also listed some things to do while in SF on her blog. Trust me, if you love fashion, you'll love this blog! I love the way she's wearing all of the cheetah print in the first picture. I never would have thought of that, but it works!  Once I finished reading her blog, I decided to check out some of her favorite blogs. That is when I found the Atlantic Pacific Blog written by BEE. She's also in San Francisco. Lovin' the Vintage LV bag!

I'm loving the layers on this outfit. anyone who has been to SF knows how chilly it can be. Layers are perfect. You can shed a few and add them to your bag as the day goes on.

I love these blogs because they show real people wearing real  clothes. Both blogs list the name of the designer or where they purchased the items from. What's super cool is that they typically have a mix of designer items AND items from H&M and Forever 21. You all know how I love a good bag and these ladies have some great ones.

What Fashion Blogs do you enjoy reading?

Stylin' Saturday - The Maxi

Juicy Couture Sleeveless Maxi Dress
Juicy Couture Maxi Dress - Nordstrom $198
Old Navy - $25
Banana Republic Sweater Maxi Dress - $150
Gap Racerback Maxi Dress - $49.95
I've been thinking about my spring wardrobe.  There are some items that need to be replaced and a few that just need to go. Every year, I buy all new white t-shirts. Have a thing about white t's.  Anyway, I also love wearing dresses and skirts in the warmer months. These maxi dresses seem to be just the ticket for weekend wear. Are you a maxi dress wearer?  Which one(s) do you like from the photos above. My fave is the first one.
I'll try to get a photo of me in one when I buy it. No promises - as I'm not big on pictures of myself.
What are you buying for your spring wardrobe?
Enjoy your Saturday!
